About the project
As part of the LION modernisation project, the energy supply, air conditioning and door control subsystems of 113 SBB DPZ trains have been renewed. A new double-decker coach was integrated for this purpose.
To support operational testing and optimisation, a system for the storage and display of diagnostic data was designed which the SBB DPZ vehicles could connect to.
Our contribution
Enotrac has developed a web-based diagnostic tool (DFD) for SBB’s DPZplus vehicles. With this tool, SBB employees can remotely monitor and diagnose the vehicles, which is convenient for daily maintenance and servicing work, but also for long-term evaluations
The Enotrac experts developed the back-end and front-end applications for data import and display. During the initial operating phase, the specification was updated iteratively and the diagnostic system on the vehicle was further developed to improve the diagnostic accuracy. Modification requests were also carried out during normal operation. The server infrastructure is operated by a Swiss hosting service provider.
SBB has contracted Enotrac to operate this tool from 2017 to 2022. This includes, among other things, user support, server maintenance, data backup and implementation of optimisations.
