About the project

As part of a planned capacity expansion and voltage increase in the area of north-western Switzerland, SBB was building a new 132/15 kV substation for traction current feed in Delémont.

The substation was being built in accordance with the SBB standard. The contractor for the services as integrator was ERNE AG Bauunternehmung, under whose subcontract Enotrac was carrying out the planning of the electrotechnical systems.

The Enotrac engineers were the main contact persons for the planning, execution, and commissioning of the electrotechnical systems of the substation.

Our contribution

Enotrac carried out the entire implementation planning for the high-voltage and medium-voltage systems (outdoor installations, cable installations), the earthing, the auxiliary systems and the cabling of the control technology. This included preparation of the documents required for the production of the auxiliary power distribution systems (50 Hz and 110 VDC).

Enotrac’s core tasks also included coordination with SBB regarding the primary and secondary components provided by SBB. Other tasks in the project included construction supervision, quality assurance, safety-oriented testing, scheduling, preparation of the final documentation and representing the overall project manager on behalf of the contractor.

In this project, Enotrac was able to make significant contributions to finding quick and safe solutions to emerging challenges thanks to the team’s extensive experience in the field of SBB substations.
