Thales , within its German rail sector, now known as GTS Deutschland GmbH, is developing a Power Supply System for Deutsche Bahn. This system will be used in the ‘Digital Node Stuttgart’ (DKS) project. The Distributed Power Provision (DPP) system employed allows for a generic track-side power supply distribution topology. Enotrac has been commissioned by Thales to conduct an availability analysis for the new version of the DPP.
About the project
Enotrac calculated and compared the availability of various circuit topologies of the DPP developed by Thales. Its flexible architecture ensures higher availability, adaptability, and energy distribution even over long distances. Enotrac created reliability block diagrams for each topology. For the calculation of availability, Enotrac used software developed in-house during a previous project.
