About the project
As part of the planned overall renovation of Andermatt station, the existing infrastructure will be comprehensively modernised. This includes a complete renewal and roofing of the platform area as well as a comprehensive renewal of the other railway technology systems.
Another focus is on the modernisation of the traction current system. In addition to a new sectorisation of the overhead contact line, this also includes a new 11 kV supply concept, including emergency supply capability. This is in connection with the construction of a new traction current substation, which is being realised as part of a neighbouring project.
The overall renovation is closely linked to several neighbouring projects, including the new Intervention and Service Centre (ISZ), the construction of the new substation and the conversion of the Hospental station. The coordination of these parallel projects places high demands on planning and project management.
Our contribution
Enotrac is responsible for the traction current in the project. The comprehensive remodelling of Andermatt station, including the roofing and dismantling of the existing stabling facility, requires a complete adaptation of the catenary system and the traction current supply. The construction of a new substation, the introduction of a new signal box and changes to the track geometry resulted in complex requirements for the catenary planning. Enotrac takes on the technical planning and coordination of these adjustments and ensures that the new traction current infrastructure is optimally integrated into the overall system.
