ENOTRAC has a wide range of experience in the field of Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Automatic Train Operation (ATO), in particular with ETCS (European Train Control System), being implemented all over the world and replacing existing systems. Associated with this is the retro-fitting of existing rolling stock with ETCS on-board equipment.
SBB has assigned Siemens to equip parts of their rolling stock fleet with ETCS Level 2. In the scope of this large order, ENOTRAC is responsible for conducting the necessary integration engineering for the ETCS retro-fit. ENOTRAC is responsible for the integration of the On-Board Units into the existing vehicles according to ETCS regulations, the development of concepts for installation and wiring, and the preparation of documents for production, testing and homologation.
Among others the mandate includes the following vehicles: Domino commuter trains, main line locomotives of the type Re420, construction service vehicles of the type Tm234.
